Summary

Fog of war is a method of hiding terrain or activities of other players in order to create suspense and make the game more interesting.

What should be hidden? (whole map, just what other players do)

How should it be hidden? (e.g. a ship detects an enemy settlement, will the settlment be visible after the ship leaves? will it be greyed out and just the island (nature) will be visible?
