This is the first milestone of OpenAnno which should show the initial features of the game. The main features are discovering a small island and building a small town on it. If you have reached all conditions of the population group "sailors", a message appears and says that you have reached the end of this first release. It asks you if you want to end the game or continue playing.
The following checklist contains all features, components and materials of the first milestone ordered in a lucid list. Also you can see the actual status of this feature.

Features
Major features (must have)
- Drawing an isometric map in diamond-form
- Creating a small map with an island in the middle and a few trees on it
- Make the map scrollable by contact with the screens borders with the cursor in 8 directions
- Selecting the ship and make it move by clicking somewhere in the sea
- Create a small and simple GUI with functions for...
- A collision free checker while building
- Building any houses of the population class "sailors"
- The buildings create resources and send them to the branch office by acre or cart
- To build is only possible if enough resources are in the branch office
Minor features (optional)
- Make the map zoomable by pressing a key/button or using the scroll wheel
- Make the scrolling dynamic by using a touch-sensitive area
- It should be possible to rotate the buildings in four directions while building
Components
Menus
Main menu
In this first release, it's a simple black screen with buttons on it. On the buttons, there are different text messages with different functions:
- New Game: Pure and simple to start a new game (no special dialog yet)
- Options: Opens the options dialog (see below)
- Exit: self-explanatory
Options
Only a few settings like changing the resolution or switch to the full-screen-mode.
Main GUI
It should be as simple as possible in this first release. We only use black semi-transparent PNGs with text on it. In this release, we have the minimap optional, so there are only the resource-fields on the top of the screen and a button at the bottom to open the building menu.
If you click on a ship or a building, a small infobox appears. It's also simple in design to avoid much effort in this early development state.
Ship menu
It's a small box with a disabled button to build the branch office. If the ship is near the coast, the button should be enabled. After that, the branch office hangs on the cursor and waits for building.
Branch office inventory
That is a simple text-based window with a list of all available resources in this milestone and the amount in the branch office.
Building menu
Like the inventory but with buttons containing the title of the buildings in this milestone. With a click, you can build the building on a position of your choice by dropping it off from your cursor.
Building information
A small dialog which contains all needed informations like the name or the production.
